A revelation is a surprising piece of information, a fact or event that makes you look at things in a new way, according to the dictionary. In the Abrahamic religions, the term is used to refer to the process by which God reveals knowledge of himself, His will, and His Divine Providence to the world of human beings. Also, revelation refers to the resulting human knowledge about God, prophecy, and other divine things. Every morning and evening a lamb was sacrificed in the Temple for the sins of the people (Exodus 29:38-42). Isaiah 53:7 prophesied that the Messiah, God’s servant, would be led to the slaughter like a Lamb. To pay the penalty for sin, a life had to be given—and God chose to provide the sacrifice Himself. According to John 1:29 “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” The “sins of the world” means everyone’s sin, the sin of each individual. The sins of the world We’re removed when Jesus died as the perfect sacrifice. Jesus paid the price of our sins by His death.

At Jesus’ baptism, John the Baptist could see what was veiled to others. When others saw an ordinary man coming, John saw “the Lamb of God” according to John 1:29. John the Baptist had declared Jesus to be the Messiah. At that time God had given John a sign to show him that Jesus truly had been sent from God (John 1:33). The difference between John and others was a seeing eyes. Mark 4:22 “For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.” As human beings, we are all curious about the future. But unfortunately many people are being stagnated in life because they are not seeing beyond the circumstances, and God promises to reveal things to us. As believers, we seek to connect with God in a deeper way in order to dialogue with Him. There are ways through which we can have revelation from God: through the Holy Spirit: John 7:38; 1 Corinthians 2:14; as born again Christians, the Holy Spirit that dwells in us teaches us all things; (John 14:26); and tells us all things (John 16:13). God also speaks to us through His Word, and it enables us to see beyond the natural.

What we know of God is only because He is gracious to share Himself with us. Revelation always point to three main roots: 1. it reveals a character trait of the God-Head. 2. It reveals our identity found in Him. 3. It reveals our authority found in Him. Some of the perfect indicators of God revealing Himself in His Word is when He asks us a question? As believers, we need the power of revelation to navigate the journey of our lives. Joseph got his divine revelation in form of a dream regarding his destiny (Genesis 37:5, 9). He focused on the revelation he received rather than the problems, hardships, challenges, trials, and situations he encountered before fulfilling his destiny. Some of us are stagnated because of lack of revelation. But when we have the revelation of God, we will see an advantage where others see disadvantage, and where we see opportunities, others will see adversities. When we receive revelation from God, it transforms us, and makes us to seek intimate relationship with God. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW! STAY HEALTHY! STAY SAFE! STAY POSITIVE! STAY IN FAITH! STAY FIRM!  STAY CONNECTED! STAY BLESSED!
