Memory Verse: Psalm 24:1-2

God created everything, and all belongs to Him. In fact, many problems are caused when we don’t understand this truth. What God created each day is mentioned by the psalmist as a reason to praise God. The psalmist was making references to each day of God’s creation as it is written in Genesis 1:1-31, and was using each day to praise God from Psalm 104:1-30. The earth is built on God’s foundations, and He guarantees its permanence. “It would never be moved” by anyone other than God Himself. Our attitude changes when we recognize that everything belongs to God. Nothing is truly ours: not money, homes, resources, or abilities.

When we think about it all, we must realize that we have no right to exist outside God’s sovereignty. God created and owns everything in the universe. As humans, we may think that what we have belongs to us, but in reality, it all belongs to God, and it is written in clearly in Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” Not only is God the Creator of the world, but also the Owner of all of the wealth in the whole world. Also, Psalm 74:16 says “Yours is the day, Yours also is the night; You have prepared the light and the sun.” Having protection, security, favour, all comes from Him. God has unlimited power over the entire universe. He creates; He preserves; He governs. Thus, in reality we do not own anything, and have no right beyond what God allows us to own. Hence, it’s very important that we remind ourselves daily that everything we have comes from God.

Everything belongs to God because God made everything (John 1:1-3). Even death is owned by God. The idea that everything belongs to God isn’t only a matter of faith. It’s a fact, and God holds the rights to all of it. That includes even us. As we understand God’s power, we realize that He is sufficient to handle our life. Today many people are arrogant enough to think they don’t need God. But our every breath depends on the life He has breath into us (Genesis 2:7; 3;19). Not only do we depend on God for our very life, but He wants the best for us. We should also desire to learn more of His plans for us each day. We must allow Him to take away our worries and fears, so He can give us His peace and direct our path. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late! DO IT NOW! STAY HEALTHY! STAY SAFE! STAY FIRM! STAY POSITIVE! STAY IN FAITH! STAY STRONG! STAY CONNECTED! STAY BLESSED!
