📖: Luke 24:1-12

Confession: Psalm 91

Memory Verse: Hebrews 7:24-25

The resurrection is more than just an event that happened in the history of the universe. The resurrection is the ultimate and mighty power from heaven that raised Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Corinthians 6:14) to eternal life and gave Him the power and authority to be at the right hand of the Father. It establishes that Jesus Christ is exactly who He says He is; “the Son of God” and has God’s approval on earth. “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25). “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

Many people do not understand the mystery and power of the resurrection; when Jesus was living in the flesh, He could not be in many places at the same time. But after His Resurrection, because He lives, He is everywhere at the the same time, for His Spirit abides within those that believes in Him. As it is written in John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you”. The Holy Spirit is equal in every way with God the Father, and God the Son. The Holy Spirit helps us avoid sin, and stay on the right path in the journey of life as our Helper, Counselor, Intercessor, and Comforter (Romans 8:26-27). The most important aspect of our Christian life is knowing Jesus and experiencing the awesomeness of the resurrection power. In the resurrection power lies our justification (Romans 4:25).

Sometimes we go through circumstances and we are so overwhelmed because we cannot eliminate or destroy the problem. We then fill lonely, rejected, miserable, discouraged, and even to the point of giving up. But because the Holy Spirit lives in us, we can face tomorrow for the Holy Spirit will teach, protect, direct, build us up, and comfort us in times of discouragement. He will give us hope and a future to look forward to in life. What is that problem or situation challenging our existence? Don’t be discouraged for Jesus is alive within us, through the Holy Spirit. He will empower, strengthen, and give us the spirit of boldness to go through any situation. When we surrender to the Holy Spirit, He will create a new spirit within us for spiritual growth, and grow in the fruit of the Spirit, as it is written in Galatians 5:22-23, which is the attributes of Jesus. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late! DO IT NOW!
