LOOKING AT THE BATTLE

📖: 1 Samuel 17:1-51

Confession: Psalm 91

The Bible says in Hosea 4:6 that “my people perish for lack of knowledge”. The Bible is clear of the existence of physical and spiritual battles. The major entities that we struggle with are against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We are faced with different kinds of battles and must not be ignorant, nor discouraged by them. Battles are inevitable; we must face battles, fight them for our promotion and victory to manifest as God did for David, given him victory over Goliath (1 Samuel 17:48-52).

God will give us His strength, protection, and we will be bold and courageous (Joshua 1:6) to face any battles, trials, and tribulations, life throws at us. Isaiah 54:15-17 says “Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake”. When the Lord fights for us no one will be able to stand against us (Joshua 1:5). Also, Isaiah 40:31 says “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”.

During battles, we need to arm ourselves with the Word of God, and with prayer. Prayer is the staff to communicate, work with God, and a rod that we use against the enemy. We must know, how, what, and when to pray God’s Words back to Him regarding any battles, and situations confronting us. In our times of trials, we need not be anxious about anything (Philippians 4:6), because God has given us authority and power to tread on serpents, scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Psalm 34:17 says “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles”. God will never forget His own children, He has graven us upon the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:15-16).

As Christians, God is with us, He will never fail nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6), He will give us the strength and ability to fight battles challenging our existence, and He will even fight our battles for us. For God to fight for us, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW! Have a relationship with God.

PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Stay connected! Stay focused! Stay blessed! Shalom!!!

PRAYER

🙏 I soak myself in the Blood of Jesus, and draw the Bloodline of Jesus around me, in Jesus’ name.

🙏 Let all drinkers of blood and eaters of flesh turn on themselves, drink their own blood and eat their own flesh, in the name of Jesus.

🙏 Battles of my father’s house, battles of my mother’s house, release my portion, die, in the name of Jesus.

🙏 Where is the Lord God of Elijah, arise and prove Yourself in my life, in the name of Jesus.

🙏 Thank You Lord, for answered prayers.
