📖: Luke 13:10-17
Confession: Psalm 91
According to the book of Luke 13:12-13, which says “When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God”.
Infirmity is a state of being weak. It’s an illness, malady, ailment, disease, disorder, sickness, affliction, complaint, and frailty. Sometimes infirmities are not necessarily sickness but can open the door for sickness and diseases.
In this scripture it is very clear about the spirit of infirmity, which the devil and its agents use in attacking people’s bodies. This resonate very well with some of us who have had the experience or is still battling the spirit of infirmity. Some infirmities requires spiritual warfare with deliverance before healing can manifest. There are demons that can cause infirmity into people’s bodies and in Luke 13:10-13, we read about how Jesus healed the woman. It is only the power of God that can defeat and destroy powers of darkness.
Isaiah 53:4 says “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted”.
Sometimes we go through infirmity that medical science cannot understand, diagnose, nor heal and this makes us helpless and hopeless. Ephesians 6:12 says “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”
Life never works out the way we want it to be. As Christians our bodies are temple of God. We need to take good care of our physical bodies with periodical check ups and periodical deliverance check ups for our spiritual body. We can have periodical deliverance, pray warfare prayers (2 Corinthians 10:4), guard our thoughts, decree God’s Words upon our lives (Matthew 12:37) and Mark 16:17-18 confirms it all. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late! DO IT NOW!
PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Stay connected! Stay focused! Have a blessed weekend. Shalom!!!
