📖: Mark 3:1-5
Confession: Psalm 91
We live in an increasingly hostile world, and most human beings, our minds are naturally hostile (Romans 8:7). Hostility comes from hatred. A hater is a person who says or writes unpleasant things about someone (Psalm 41:6), or criticizes their achievements. To hate others is like eating poison that eats away our minds and hearts, thereby destroying us from within. Sometimes people hate because they want to feel good about themselves, wanting to be center of attention, having something they don’t have, and some people just hate for no reason (Psalm 38:19). Hate can lead to lies (Proverbs 10:18), and it is also a sin (Ephesians 4:31-32).
Mark 3:2 says “Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath”.
In this scripture verse, some people that were in the Synagogue were watching and waiting to accuse Jesus of breaking the law. They were against Jesus healing the man with the withered hand. They hated Jesus, the miracle, and also for the fact that it was on a Sabbath.
This man was about to receive his miracle and the haters were opposed to it. Unfortunately for the haters, they have no audacity to stop Jesus from healing the man. The same way when people start opposing us for no reason, it is a sign of God’s blessings that is about to manifest in our lives, and we need to pray very well against haters so that they don’t stop it.
The Synagogue represents today’s churc and I’m sorry to say that there are haters in the church. As Jesus did not need their permission to heal the man, also He does not need anyone’s (haters) permission to heal, deliver, and to bless us. Our haters will only watch helplessly as God takes us to the next level. But, we need to be wise Christians by being careful who we share our success and dreams with, because some people don’t want to see others happy, succeed or being blessed.
Finally, Proverbs 26:24-28 sums it all up, about why we should ignore and forget haters. Let us stay connected to God through Jesus Christ. Starting from today, let us strive and fear the Lord and serve Him. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late! DO IT NOW!
PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Stay connected! Stay focused! Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
🙏 Thou haters troubling my destiny, scatter and die, in the name of Jesus.
🙏 Arrows of contempt and wrath fired against my rising stardom, backfire, in Jesus’ name.
🙏 Every oppressor and their weapons of oppression fashioned against me, shall drown in the red sea, in the name of Jesus.
🙏 Let my haters make mistake that would catapult me to my place of destiny, in the name of Jesus.
🙏 Thank You Lord, for answered prayers.
