DIVINE WISDOM (1)

πŸ“–: Proverbs 4:1-13

Confession: 1 Corinthians 1:25

God Himself is full of all wisdom and He is all-wise (Job 36:5). God is “Omnipotent, Omniscient”, He knows and does anything He wants to do at anytime to anyone, place or thing (Ezekiel 11:5; 2 Peter 2:9). God is the embodiment of wisdom and it begins and ends with Him. True wisdom is a mystery that comes from God. Wisdom is supreme and is spirit imparted upon us by God. It consists in obedience and is united in happiness. A soul without wisdom is classified as dead soul.

Proverbs 4:6-7 says “Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. [7] The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding”.

A. W . Tozer says “Wisdom is the ability to devise perfect ends and to achieve those ends by the most perfect means. It sees the end from the beginning, so there can be no need to guess or conjecture”

According to the book of Job 12:13 which says “With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding”. Wisdom is based upon knowledge (Jeremiah 10:12). We can have wisdom, but not understanding. The reason is because God sometimes does not give us both at the same time, due to maturity or because we are not ready for it. All we have to do is to be patient, and at the right time, God will bestow it upon us. God knows everything about everything, He knows when we are ready for anything. He knows about everything that will happen.

Wisdom enables us to be discerning, allowing us to make good judgements. 1 Corinthians 1:30 says “It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption”. Proverbs 1:7 says “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Let us fix our eyes on Jesus who alone can impart to us godly wisdom upon us. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW! Have a relationship with God.

PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Stay connected! Stay focused! Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
