📖: Matthew 6:1-34
Confession: Ecclesiastes 12:9-12
God cares and sustains everything He has created, and as human beings, we appreciate God’s works and delight in it’s beauty. As Christians, we are part of God’s providence plan, therefore God should be at the center of our lives and everything we do. We can do nothing without God. In order for us to know Him, we must seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and every other things will be given to us as well (Matthew 6:33). God has created us and part of His plan for us is to fulfill our destiny. Having an education is part of knowledge, even the scripture according to Proverbs 1:5 says “let the wise hear and increase in learning and the one who understands obtain guidance”.
We need to ask ourselves an honest question, and know if our education is complete? Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, and beliefs. We obtain education with the intention of getting jobs, careers, financial stability, etc. Education is essential, it enriches our minds. When we’re educated, it can never be taken away from us, so is the Word of God. We need to study the scriptures until the meaning is clear in our mind in regards to our salvation.
Martin Luther said education is necessary “both to understand the Word of Scripture and the nature of the world in which the Word would take root”.
As Christians, the Bible tells us of Christ from the creation, that all things were made by Him; and without Him nothing was made (John 1:3). Studying and meditating on the Word of God strengthens our intellect than any other books or encyclopedia. But we sometimes allow our knowledge to seek earthly things than seeking God, and the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for our teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). For us to get the meaning of the word, we must first pray for the Holy Spirit to give us the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of the word so that by reading it, we will understand, and it will ponder in our hearts as streams flowing from the fountain of life.
God speaks to us when studying the scriptures, and our hearts are filled with the word and it becomes living water to quench our burning thirst; the words are full of the Spirit and life (Matthew 6:63). Having the knowledge of the Bible, we will develop Christ-like character and our faith and love will grow stronger, our minds will be renewed and our relationship with God will increase. According to the book of 1 Corinthians 2:9 , which says “However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him”. The Holy Spirit, will teach, guide, and direct us in the word of God for complete education in order to live a holy life, in preparation for the second coming of Christ, and of the world that is to come; “The Holy City, “THE NEW JERUSALEM”. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late! DO IT NOW!
PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Let us strive and stay connected and God with all our hearts. Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
