O LORD, REVIVE THY WORK

📖: Habakkuk 3:1-16

Confession: Psalm 91

We all have seen the fame of God, our Creator, and of the heavens and the earth, and through His creations as it is written in Genesis 1. God created everything and created us in His own image. His wish for us is to be saved and not perish in sin.

Most of us have intimately encountered the awesomeness of God’s glory in our various lives, similar to that in Habakkuk 3:2 which says “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy”. As believers, in whatever situations or circumstances we find ourselves, God has been there to strengthen us, avenge us of our adversaries. He saved, rescued, delivered and made us to overcome trials in our lives. At the end of our calamity, when God gives us rest, we rejoice with praise and worship for victory over our enemies.

Today’s message resonate with each and everyone of us. Sometimes, because of our accomplishments, we forget all the great works that God has done for us during our trials and low esteem and then put God in the back seat, rather than at the driver’s seat where He belongs to continually direct the affairs our lives and destiny. Othertimes, we don’t even go to His presence any more. We believe we can achieve anything we want on our own ability and forget that God will always be God, He will never change.

As Christians, we must remember that God is the only One that will be with us in any situation we might find ourselves. When we are faced with situations, or circumstances beyond our control, we have no option, but to seek His presence through the Holy Spirit, confess our sins, have genuine repentance, and ask the Holy Spirit to renew the right spirit within us. We all need the mercy of God and they are new everyday. Communing with the Holy Spirit, through praise and worship, thanksgiving, meditating on His Word, obeying His commandments, will deepen our relationship and connection with God, and He will strengthen and revive us.

We need to always remember what God has done for us in the past, His mighty hands upon our lives, count our blessings one by one, and His glory upon us, and ensure to rededicate our lives to God with the Blood of Jesus Christ and enjoy a relationship with God and He will strengthens us and be able to go through any situation in the future with ease. Even if God was angry with us, the moment we have genuine repentance in our heart, He will forgive, renew, and revive us. He will never leave nor forsake us, because He is a merciful God. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late! DO IT NOW!

PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Let us strive and stay connected and God will “Revive Thy Work, O God” Have a blessed weekend. Shalom!!!
