📖: Psalm 62:1-8
Confession: Psalm 91
We all at one point or the other have expected things from our parents, partners, friends, organizations, and governments. But as children of God, we should always be expecting the unexpected from our Heavenly Father because according to His promises for us; His plan is to prosper us and give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11), and every good and perfect gift comes from God.
Expectation is a strong belief that something will happen or anticipating something. “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him” (Psalm 62:5).
Expectation can either be small or big, but when expecting from God, our expectations must be the biggest and it is for our benefits in life. Acts 3:5 says “So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them” When our expectation is in line with the Word of God, with determination in our heart, with faith, and backing it up with action, definitely we will receive our testimony. An example is the woman with the issue of blood for twelve years had suffered a great deal in the hands of physicians, spent all that she had. But the day she heard that Jesus was passing, she was full of expectation and she received her healing instantly just by touching Jesus’ clothes (Mark 5:25-35). When we are expecting from God and we don’t doubt, we will receive the manifestation in the physical, (Proverbs 10:28). It is our expectation that makes God to visit and give us whatever we ask and expecting. At the end we may receive more from God than we can ever imagine. God usually exceed our expectations (Ephesians 3:20).
Faith plays a big role in our expectations, hence our thoughts, imagination, words, and actions must all be positive for our expectations to manifest (Galatians 6:7). Faith makes everything possible and it gives birth to divine expectations, which also gives birth to divine manifestation thereby our expectations will not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18). When we pray and ask, we will receive, therefore we must not limit our expectation. rather our expectations should be big. The resources of heaven are more than enough to satisfy the whole universe. God will take us to levels higher than whatever levels we have desired of Him; He will give us answers beyond our prayer requests, in Jesus’ name
God is not limited by our requests; He can do more than we can ever imagine. No matter what we ask or desire, expect more than enough. Without expectation nothing can manifest. Let us strive to be expectant from God. May we stand out in the crowd, and may our light so shine that any where we go, we shall be recognized, and may God’s overflowing grace, and mercy be upon us in Jesus’ name. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW!
PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Be expectant! Stay connected! Stay focused! Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
