πŸ“–: Ezekiel 34:20-31

Confession: Psalm 121

God our Creator identifies us by our names (Isaiah 43:1) and has preordained our paths in the journey of life (Psalm 16:11).
According to the book of Ezekiel 34:26 which says “I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing”. The showers of blessings are provision from heaven in accordance to God’s providence plan (Deuteronomy 28:12), and are the greatest blessings of God. It is only God that can speak to the clouds to send down rain and it obeys instantly because any word that comes out from God’s mouth will not return to Him void but must achieve the purpose for which it was sent (Isaiah 55:10-11). Showers of blessings are God’s unfailing promises to His children.

We all need showers of blessings in our lives and God’s showers of blessings can be spiritual or physical. The showers of spiritual blessings must be our first priority and it is for us to hunger and thirst after righteousness (Matthew 5:6), which is the gospel of Jesus. With this, we will then be blessed daily with spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Through His grace and mercy, He shed His Blood on the cross, to rescue us from God’s wrath and judgement which is the result of our Salvation; a gift which cannot be earned (Ephesians 2:8). The showers of physical blessings is the aftermath of trials, situations, circumstances, drought, and tribulations in our lives. God pours down heavy rain upon us to wash away the remnants of negativity from our lives. He replaces it with new things of His divine mercy, grace, glory, love, favour, kindness, prosperity, promotion, and acceleration. When we receive God’s showers of blessings, the abundance will seem endless and we will praise and glorify God for it (Jeremiah 31:10-14).

When faced with situations beyond our control and yearn desperately for God’s blessing, which is His Grace, we must position ourselves to receive God’s showers of blessings. When we acknowledge Jesus as our Saviour, Shepherd, Provider, and Helper and having a relationship with Him; then seek for the blessing of righteousness and when we have this, every other showers of blessings will be added unto us as it is written in Matthew 6:33. We have to be prayerful, focused, and be prepared like Elisha did when he was about to receive double portion of Elijah’s gift (2 Kings 2:1-13). We must also learn to trust and have faith in Him (Hebrews 11:1). When the showers of blessings fall upon our lives, it will refresh us (Acts 3:19) and we will be blessed daily with both the spiritual and physical blessings. Let us fix our eyes on God through Jesus Christ, who will show up in the midst of our trials and bless us with the showers of blessings (Isaiah 51:3). For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late! DO IT NOW!

PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Stay connected! Stay focused! Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
