📖: Deuteronomy 28:1-14
Confession: Psalm 91
“The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you” (Deuteronomy 28:8). “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none” (Deuteronomy 28:12).
The Bible illustrates the promises of God that are available for us to use on a regular basis. We are grateful for God manifested glory and presence that rend the heavens and come down before us and make his name known to our enemies and cause them to quake before us (Isaiah 64:1-2).
The way we perceive God is what will determine our Open Heaven. If we perceive God to be our Creator that created us for good and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11), then we will understand that God is our Provider. Open Heaven is a blessing from above and below (Ephesians 1:3-10). He will provide all we need according to His riches in glory and His glory will been seen in us. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6) and “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). As Christians, when we are obedient and draw closer to God, committing ourselves on a regular basis to be in His presence and through the help of the Holy Spirit, and with prayers, we will be positioning ourselves for Open Heaven.
We must not be discouraged when faced with any situation or circumstances that the enemy will throw at us because Satan knows that our heaven is at the edge of opening unto to us, but we must meditate and memorize God’s Word; speak and confess God’s Word to any situation affecting our lives; have genuine commitment on our part; strive to live a holy life according to the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23); sacrificial giving; helping others in their time of need and being faithful in our tithing (Malachi 3:10).
We are grateful that the Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on our land in season and to bless all the work of our hands. We will lend to many nations but will borrow from none (Deuteronomy 28:12). For our heaven to open, we must therefore perceive God as the God of gods, who is richer than the richest, generous and His desire is to bless us abundantly above all that we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW!
