📖: Philippians 4:13-19

Confession: Psalm 121

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

God’s power is unlimited and He is in total control of everything both in heaven and the earth. The earth belongs to God and is full of His riches (Psalm 104:24). The Bible illustrates all the way God provides for us.  God promise to take care of us and that His grace is sufficient to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). His provision extends to His relationship to all that He has created. God is the one and only Provider-Jehovah Jireh (Genesis 22:7-14). God wants us to look up to Him for everything;  from our daily food, to forgiveness of sins, and to blessings.

Sometimes in life we are confronted with situations and circumstances that threatens our existence. We look at ourselves and the situation, and it is like a mountain before us. This can make us to be overwhelmed, helpless, hopeless, and scared, not knowing what to do.
Jeremiah 17:5 says “This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord”.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says we should “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; [6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”.

In our present world, our accomplishments in life, are based on our educational background, connections, strength, and status in the society. We sometimes  forget that it is only God that can supply all our needs physically, spiritually, and emotionally in life. Due to our wants in life, struggle with fleshy lusts and desires, our focus to rely and trust God is diminishing. As Christians, we know God is our Provider (Genesis 22:14). His assurance (Philippians 1:3) to provide for us are in His Word, (Philippians 4:19) based on His prerequisite of making Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. According to His will for us, when we ask God (Matthew 7:7) through prayers, we will receive because our “Father knows what things we need” ( Matthew 6:8). Through Jesus Christ strength in us, we can do all things (Philippians 4:13).

There are times when things seems to be against us, we should look at scriptures and know that God is in total  control of all situations, circumstances, including Satan and all the demons. If God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31). The story of Abraham, at his old age he had Isaac, and God said to him to sacrifice Isaac, he trusted God and it was credited to him (Galatians 3:6-9); Joseph from prison to palace, he was betrayed by his own family, sold as slave, imprisoned, but still trusted and had faith in God. God blessed him (Genesis 50); Hezekiah’s trust in God, and God saved him from the hands of Sennacherib; Job lost everything including the death of his children, but still had faith and trusted in God and his latter end was far more blessed than his beginning (Job 42:12-17).

When we commit everything to God, He will establish our plans and make them succeed (Proverbs 16:3). During any trials or tribulations, He will be with us (Isaiah 43:2). Philippines 4:19 it says, “But my God shall supply all my need according to his riches in glory by christ Jesus”. As believers, we must live by faith, not by sight because without faith, it is impossible to trust God (Hebrews 11:6). When we are afraid, that is when we should put all our hope and trust more in God because He will defend and protect us from any situation.

Therefore, let us surrender all to God through Jesus Christ to meet us at the point of our needs, and every good thing we have been waiting for, will be accomplished and other good things shall manifest, by His name called “Wonderful”.  For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW!

PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Stay connected! Stay focused! Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
