📖: Jeremiah 31:1-12
Confession: Psalm 91
“For the Lord will deliver Jacob and redeem them from the hand of those stronger than they”. (Jeremiah 31:11).
We are sometimes faced with problems that limit us from accomplishing our goals in life. No matter our achievements, wealth or riches in life, one way or the other, we are bound to face limitation (Job 36:19). There’s something known as spirit of limitation. It is a barrier that limits us from achieving our goals, attaing our preordained destiny. It’s a stumbling block that does not allow someone to break through in life and can sometimes be very difficult to break. Limitations can be placed on one’s destiny and if not destroyed, can bring about failure in our spiritual, physical, and financial lives. Such person will have difficulty be it in business careers, marriage, finances, which can result to pain, fear, poverty, hopelessness, sickness, barrenness, etc…
Elijah the Prophet of God was limited as a Prophet, until king Uzziah died (Isaiah 6:1). Limitation is a restriction that holds someone back from moving forward in life. They create inevitable barriers that are temporary and if neglected can become permanent. Sometimes these barriers makes us stronger spiritually because it humbles us and makes us to surrender and lean on God through our relationship with Him. Depending on how these barriers are dealt with, if we allow any kind of barrier to stay too long before it is destroyed, it can eventually stop one from achieving his or her goals or even destroy one’s destiny. Limitations makes us to trust and rely more on God than in others, thereby making us stronger spiritually. We must not allow our limitation to define who we are, neither should it define our destiny. We will not be limited in any area of our lives. What we call our limits, will be the beginning of good things in our lives. God will use any limitation we have and change it to success.
Sometimes God pushes us to our limits because He has faith in us, than we have in ourselves. Limitations to be honest, are unbearable when it occurs, but let us also look at it this way, that whatever happens to us, it is only temporal, it is to strengthen us for bigger success (2 Corinthians 12:10). Jesus has the final say in whatever happens in our lives. He will break the limitation and even make us to exceed whatever stopped us from achieving our goals or that which stopped our parents and threatening to stop us from accomplishing our goals in life. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW!
