📖: Luke 4:1-13; Job 19:1-29

Confession: Psalm 91

Standing firm in our beliefs resonates with many of us. Our belief is our conviction, and our conviction is our “FAITH”.

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

As humans, God created and knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows that in our journey of life, we go through trials and tribulations. Job with all what he went through, he knew and had confidence in the God he was serving. Isaiah 41:10 says we should fear not and not be dismayed for He is our God. God in human form, lived on earth and Jesus went through trials, tribulations, and temptations from Satan. If Jesus could go through the trials, tribulations, and temptations, who are we that Satan will not tempt. Satan is very tricky; but our God is eternal. He is the “Almighty God”, the creator of the universe.

The Lord’s plan stands firm forever (Psalm 33:11-12). Knowing that we are sheep in the midst of wolves (Matthew 10:16), we must realize that satan is very cunning and deceptive. He is always repackaging and rebranding schemes to lure us into sin (2 Corinthians 2:11). Therefore when faced with trials and tribulations, temptations, disappointments, and failure, we must not waver in our faith. Through trust in God (Hebrews 5:14), we must be patient (James 5:8), have endurance (Matthew 24:3), fight the fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12).

1 Corinthians 16:13 sums it all up saying “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong”.

As Christians, it is easy to trust and have faith in God when things are going as we desire it to be, but when we go through situations or circumstances of life; do we still trust God and stand firm in our faith? When we go through trials and tribulations, we sometimes worry, have anxiety, and think of our strength of doing it on our own. Let us know the God we are serving and have confidence in Jim alone. Let us strive by changing our attitudes, rely on God’s strength to see us through with prayers (Philippians 4:13). The Bible says in “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. [8] They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm”. Ask for God’s wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in dealing with the situation. Let us stand firm in our faith “I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth” (Job 19:25). For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW!

PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Stay connected! Stay focused! Have blessed weekend. Shalom!!!
