PRAYER-LESS-NESS

📖: Matthew 26:41-45

Confession: Psalm 51

Prayer is communication between God and man; a channel of fellowship with God. The bible says that anytime Jesus was to go out and minister to the people, He would always get to be in a place alone to pray and connect to His Father in heaven; Jesus told His disciples to watch and pray, and not give up (Matthew 26:41-45).

Sin is the major cause of Prayerlessness thereby affecting our faith. Faith and prayer correlates together. John 15:7 says “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you”. The Bible urges us to pray and when we don’t pray, it becomes a sin against God (Romans 14:23). Without a-doubt, we are commanded to pray. Prayerlessness is a sin against God because it hinders His plan and purpose for our lives, and prevents His promises and mighty works from manifestation. It also, draws us away from God. We are God’s creation and when we don’t commune with our Creator then who are we communicating with? Perhaps the most important thing about prayerlessness is a declaration that we do not need God in any areas our lives. Prayerlessness hinders worshipping God. Without prayer, any relationship with God is impoverished because vital communication is lost.

The moment we are prayerless, we become powerless Christians which leads to backsliding and Matthew 6:13 says “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” Prayerlessness leaves the door open for sin. Therefore, we must not be prayerless rather ‘watch amd pray’ so that we don’t fall into temptation (Matthew 26:41). Prayer helps to activate us into worshipping God and praying the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). We must be a doer of the Word of God by praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). As Christians, for us to experience the release of God’s power in our lives, we must return and connect to our base-Heaven.

It is when we stay with the Almighty God that He makes us great. If we live a prayerless life, this means we are neglecting to check into the center of operations-heaven to find out what our Creator-God wants us to do or wants to do for us. Therefore, to receive the power from on high we must take ourselves to the height of the upper room-Headquarters through prayer and by praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Let us

stay connected to headquarters through Jesus Christ and with the help of the Holy Spirit, and prayin without ceasing, we will continue to experience spiritual growth in our lives. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW!

PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Stay connected! Stay focused! Have blessed day. Shalom!!!
