PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

📖: 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Confession: Psalm 91

Prayer is an essential commodity to the vitality of our relationship with God. It is an essential part of believers and should be like the air we breath into our lungs. We don’t think before we breath in air, we just do it instantly because our lungs compel us do so. Prayer is like food, we feed and nourish our soul with the Word of God. Prayer is the channel of fellowship to God and empowerment for our spiritual growth. It’s also a response to that hunger for every believer to be continually be in the presence of God

During this time of uncertainty, we are to delight ourselves in the Word of God day and night (Psalm 1:2). Delighting ourselves in the Word of God, is to “pray without ceasing” which means that we are to communicate with God over and over giving thanks, praising God for blessings and favour, asking for wisdom, strength, guidance, direction in any issues confronting us in moving from one task to the other. We must pray continuously, meditating and memorizing the Word of God even while driving, at work, bathing, house cleaning; nonstop praying in all aspects of our lives. It is an attitude of surrendering and humility to God. Every waking moment is to be lived in an awareness that God is with us. We must pray until heaven respond. There may be no immediate response from heaven when we begin praying, but keep praying until change happens, until shut doors are opened, things turn around for good in our lives.

Elijah prayed and there was no rain; his prayers altered the course of nature in his territory. Daniel prayed three times a day even when his life was in danger (Daniel 6:10). Jesus prayed until He was transfigured. “In everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your request to God” (Philippians 4:6). We must devote ourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful (Colossians 4:2). As Believers, when we pray effectual, fervent prayers, it becomes weapon for our warfare to demolish the stronghold of the devil (Ephesians 6:18). If we are yet to see the results of our prayers, keep praying and don’t stop; if we are stuck in struggles that have kept us at a spot, keep praying.  Don’t get discouraged or lose focus. Unanswered prayers are no excuses to stop praying and in due time it will be answered, and our victory to the next level will become a reality to the glory of God. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus and our prayers will be answered swiftly. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW!

PRAY THIS; in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I will make You my Lord and Saviour. Stay connected! Stay focused! Have blessed day. Shalom!!!
