📖: John 14:16-17; Ezekiel 36:26-27

As the Father is the Creator, and the Son is the Saviour and Redeemer, the Holy Spirit is the Sanctifier who free us to lead new lives. The Holy Spirit is not vague, He is considered to be the third member of the Trinity: The Triune God manifested as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person itself being God. The New Testament includes over 90 references to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches, encourages, comforts, pleads for us and leads us into all truth.

There are many misconceptions about the identity of the Holy Spirit. Some people view the Holy Spirit as a mystical force. The word “Spirit” in the Word of God is translated from the Hebrew word ru’ach and the Greek word pneu’ma. Most often those words refers to God’s active for or Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:2). Which now leads me to the question:

The Bible is our only reliable source of divine revelation, truth, and the trinity concept.
The Bible declares that the Holy Spirit is God and the Holy Spirit is a divine person, (1 Corinthians 2:11, Romans 15:30; 1 Corinthians 12:11) and being with a mind, emotions and a will. The Holy Spirit is God’s power in action, His active force (Micah 3:8; Luke 1:3).
Jesus told His disciples “I will ask the Father and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as  orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:16-18).

The Holy Spirit is God, and has the characteristics of God. The Holy Spirit is a person and is part of the Trinity as stated at (1 John 5:7, 8). He is Omnipresent (Psalm 139:7-10), Omnipotent (Acts 1:8), Omniscient (1 Corinthians 2:10-11). The Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead. He performed miracles (Matthew 12:28), He was involved in creation (Gen 1:2), He gives spiritual life to us (John 3:3-8). As Christians, God does not intend that we see Him as a Spirit that cannot be reached; God does not want us to see Him as a vague Person who cannot be effectively related with; God does not want our knowledge of Him to be hazy; He does not want us to relate with Him without having a good recognition of Him. Let us fix our eyes on Christ and enjoy the benefits of the Holy Spirit. For those of us that have not surrender their lives to Jesus, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW! Stay connected! Stay focused! Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
