📖: James 2:14-24
Confession: Philippians 4:7
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).
This world is already full of violence, trials, tribulations, and hardship. With the combination of the world’s problems and life’s ups and down, having inner peace can only be accomplished through God’s peace which transends all understanding.
Peace is a goodness of life that is not affected by the negativity. God’s peace cannot be compared with anything.
Our God is not a God of disorder but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). The peace God gives us is not as the world gives (John 14:27), the Lord of peace Himself gives us peace at all times and in every day (2 Thessalonians 3: 16).
As Christians, we can be filled with anxiety and worries, feeling discouraged regarding areas of our lives that we feel should be better. Regardless of this, we must not be discouraged or dwell on the negative aspects and circumstances because it can lead to even deeper discouragement. Rather, through the help of the Holy Spirit, seek the presence of God through praise and worship, meditation of the word, and prayers and cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7) and things that look impossible for us are possible with God (Luke 18:27) because if God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31).
Seeking God’s face through the guidance of the Holy Spirit will helped us tremendously to let go and not feel sorry for ourselves anymore. It will help us to achieve things in life and move above the plan of the enemy and we will have all round peace.
Romans 8:16 says the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace. Peace comes from us exercising our faith in the midst of challenges. Therefore, we must seek peace and pursue it (Psalm 34:14). When we go out, we will go out in joy and be led forth in peace (Isaiah 55:12) and after the days work, we will lie down in peace and sleep for God will make us dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8)
May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace as we trust in Him, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). Let us fix our eyes on Jesus Christ who is the True Peace (Ephesians 2:14), “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6), and the “God of all Peace (Romans 15:33). May the Lord bless us out of Zion: and make His face shine upon us all the days of thy life and may we see our children’s children, and His peace upon us (Psalms 128:5-6). Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
