📖: 2 Timothy 3:16
Confession: Psalm 91
The promises of God to mankind are in His Word and God’s Word is full of promises that are “YES” in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). God does not change His mind because He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). There are many promises of God in the Bible. The Bible is the tool we need for the journey of our live. It reminds us of God’s ultimate blessings and protection promised and covers all aspects of our lives. According to the Word of God in the book of Isaiah 55:1 says “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost”.
The Bible is encyclopedia for Christians. It is the only true, reliable, and guaranteed book that contains God’s Word for His promises for our lives. It is spiritual food for our souls that enables our spiritual growth and our relationship with God (1 Peter 2:2). We cannot live by bread alone; but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of Lord (Deuteronomy 8:3). God’s Word must be hidden in our hearts that we might not sin against God (Psalm 119:11) and His Word is settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89).
The promises of God, is in His Word and its the spiritual GPS needed in the journey of our lives at anytime we are faced or overwhelmed with trials, situations, and circumstances of life. We go through different issues in life and the Bible as a vital tool energizes and encouraging us in our spiritual life. When we are struggling with any issues, we need reassurance, direction, protection, and provision which are in the scriptures concerning His promises for us. Standing on the promises of God encourages us not to give up, no matter what and the Fruit of the Spirit conquers all because it is the attributes of our Christian life (Galatians 5:22-23). Hope in the Lord (Psalm 71:5), God’s Will for our lives (2 Peter 3:9), forgiveness (Hebrews 8:12), confidence (1 John 3:21), courage (Philippians 4:13), deliverance (Obadiah 1:17; 2 Corinthians 3:17), etc.
As Christians, are we standing on the promises of God, our Saviour? Jesus is standing at the door and knocking, and wants to come in. As you hear His voice, are you willing to open the door of your heart and let Him in your heart? The prerequisite of obtaining the promises of God is through Jesus Christ. Without allowing Jesus into your heart and become born again, the promises of God is not guaranteed to unbelievers. Those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW and stay connected to the promises of God through Jesus Christ for us. Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
