📖: Psalm 119:48-52
Confession; Psalm 119:76
We all go through trial, pain, and hurt, in the journey of life, but we must realize that it does not last forever nor is it permanent. It will definitely come to an end at the appointed time (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). Surely, it shall come to an end, and we shall overcome because Jesus Christ have overcome the world (John16:33). In our trial, suffering, and pain, God’s promise to comfort us, will preserve our lives (Psalm 119:50). Comfort is the relief in affliction, freedom from pain and anxiety; and a state of ease and satisfaction.
God sets on high those who are lowly, and those who mourn are lifted to safety (Job 5:11). His steadfast love, comfort us according to His promise to us (Psalm 119:76). Those that mourn shall be blessed and comforted (Matthew 5:4) and His Word shall be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).
Sometimes God allow us to go through pain for example the story of Job (Job 1:12) and Joseph (Genesis 50:20) to mention just a few. Even when things seems to get worse before they get better, we must never forget that God’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:21-23). God wants us to come Him, all who are thirsty, (Isaiah 55:1). When we go to God in prayer, petition and thanksgiving, (Philippians 4:6). He will not close His ears to our cry for relief (Lamentations 3:56) and He will come near and answer our prayers.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion, Who is the Source of every comfort, He comforts us in every trouble, so that we can also be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Let us strive and wait on the Lord and be of good courage, and He shall strengthen our heart (Psalm 27:4). God does not give up on us. God will move us from darkness to light (John 9:7). Stay connected to God, the Comfoter Who Comforts us on all side. Have a blessed weekend. Shalom!!!
