The Bible tells us God’s plans for our lives is to prosper us and not to harm us, His plans to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11), but the world we live in does not make our Christian journey easy for us. Knowing God’s Will is one of the promises of God for us and since we know God’s plan for our lives is for our benefits, and to have abundant life. It is important for us to know His Will because it is very crucial to our existence as Christians. When we do God’s Will, we become brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ (Mark 3:35).
The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever (1 John 2:17). Our first priority for God’s Will for our us is to proclaim the good news (Isaiah 61:1). Psalm 143:10 says; “Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; let Your good Spirit lead me into a level country and into the land of uprightness”. Due to our sinful nature, God’s Will is for us to repent of our sin, trust and have faith in Jesus Christ and He will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go; He will counsel us with His loving eye on us (Psalm 32:8).
Our lives are not our own and it is not for us to direct our steps (Jeremiah 10:23). God wants us make choices, but at the same time, we must trust God with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, rather submit our ways to Him and He will make our paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Many at times, when faced with issues concerning major decisions that will change our lives; we need to inquire God’s Will and must be specific when we pray regarding whom to marry, where to work, business to do, and joint partnership, etc.
God knows everything about us and our future. When we do His Will, He will always prevent danger from happening to us and even if the obstacle is inevitable that we have to go through it, God has a way of strengthen us and overcome the obstacle and our lives change for the better. Moving forward, our choice of word to say is, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that” (James 4:15). Let us desire to do God’s Will because at the end of it all, it is for our benefits. Those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW and stay connected to God Almighty for the manifestation of His Will for our lives, through His Son Jesus Christ for us. Have a blessed day. Shalom!!!
