GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY .

GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY

Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 16:9-29
“Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness” (1 Chronicles 16:29).

Glorifying God means to honor with adoring praise, admiration, worshipful thanksgiving and to extol Him for His greatness. God’s glory is the essence of His nature; appreciating Him for who He is; His Absolute Sovereignty over everything.

We must proclaim good tidings of His glory from day to day (1 Chronicles 16:23-29) because He is worthy of our praise and to be feared above all gods. When we talk about gods, its anything or anyone in place of God (Psalm 115:5-6). The Ten Commandments clearly command us not to have, worship, or glorify other gods before Him (Exodus 20:1-4). It’s a command from God. He alone is to be glorified, there is none like Him (isaiah 46:9-10).

Through the course of our journey in life, many of us have taken credits for our accomplishments, instead of giving God all the glory. Our accomplishments were not achieved based on our strength or knowledge, neither is it by our might nor power (Zechariah 4:6). We are able to achieve success, acquire properties, and possess talents in life, only by His grace and for His glory. Whatever we accomplish in life, let us strive and give God the honor and glory.

As Christians, according to 1 Corinthians 6:20 says we were bought at a price. Therefore, we must honor God with your bodies. Jesus died for us because of our sins and John 14:13 says Jesus will do whatever we ask in His name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. His lovingkindness is better than life and our lips must praise Him. “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being”. (Revelation 4:11). Through our relationship with God, with praise, and worship, pleasing Him, being faithful, obedient, and trusting in every area of our lives,   God will be glorified. No matter how small or big the achievement, no matter the time and place (2 Corinthians 5:9) let us glorify God.  Those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW and stay connected to God through Jesus Christ for us. Have a blessed weekend. Shalom!!!
