Confession: Psalm 91, 46, 121:1-8

Memory Verse: Romans 1:17

In Habakkuk 2:1-4 says “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” Vision is the ability to see into the future; a picture that you see in your mind; something that you see or dream; or plan the future with imagination or wisdom. A man without a vision will lack direction. Our vision will influence every area of our life. In our Scripture verses today, Habakkuk’s attitude is of patient waiting and watching for God’s response. He wanted to be in the best position to receive God’s message.

There are times in life when stress and fear can test our trust in God. Sometimes when we pray, we may be expecting God to miraculously touch us and give us some kind of in revelation. God hears all prayers and in one sense, He answers all your prayers. But we do not always receive what we ask for. When we ask the Lord God for something, the response will be ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ or ‘Wait’. When tossed and perplexed with doubts about the methods of Providence, we must watch against temptations to be impatient. We need to remember that God sees things from an eternal perspective and that there are some things we may never understand in this life. When we have poured out complaints and requests before God, we must observe the answers He gives by His Word, His Spirit, and providences; what the Lord will say to our case. But God rarely taps us on the shoulder with an immediate impartation of wisdom, knowledge, or understanding. Learning one of His lessons usually takes time, study, and prayer. We must also know that those who distrust or despise God’s all-sufficiency will not walk uprightly with Him.

“This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it — the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” as it is written in Jeremiah 33:2-3. We must remember that God will not disappoint the believing expectations of those who wait to hear what He will say unto them. All are concerned in the truths of God’s Word. Though the promised favour be deferred long, it will come at last, and abundantly recompense us for waiting. Having faith is helpful to all believers who must live through difficult times without seeing signs of hope. We must trust that God is directing all things according to His purposes. “The just shall live by faith” as it is written in Hebrews 10:38. For those yet to surrender their lives to Jesus, this is not negotiable, do so now, tomorrow might be too late. DO IT NOW! STAY HEALTHY! STAY SAFE! STAY FOCUSED! STAY POSITIVE! STAY IN FAITH! STAY CONNECTED! STAY BLESSED!
